Hong Kong, from cultural "desert" to "oasis"?

The 6-day 16th Hong Kong Book Fair attracted nearly 640,000 visitors setting the highest record of the same kind of exhibitions in both Hong Kong and Asian regions. People think the willingness to read of Hong Kong people is proportionally much more than Taiwan, as both places have same number of visitors to their annual book fairs where Taiwan's population is 23 million and Hong Kong's 6 million.

It's believed that publication is a huge business. First of all, let's see what "publish" means. According to Hong Kong Publishing Federation, "publish" is a social behavior relating to copy and distribution to the general public but not to selling.
