泰國首屆國際時裝周

8月17日至21日在泰國舉行的2005曼谷時裝周，是該國首次舉辦的國際性時裝盛事，泰國政府更動用了4,500萬美元作活動經費，支持泰國發展成地區的時裝中心，與香港等地競爭。最觸目的其中一位設計師，當然是泰國公主Siriwanwaree Nareeratana，她的系列成為活動的頭炮。

Bangkok Fashion Week

Recently, the Thai government has allocated a budget of USD45 million to launch the country's first international fashion show Bangkok Fashion Week 2005 which was held August 17-21, marking Thailand's initial step towards becoming a regional fashion hub to rival Hong Kong in an effort to bolster the country's increasingly threatened textile and garment industry. One of the noteworthy shows was held by Thai Princess Siriwanwaree Nareeratana presenting her collection during the first day of the event.
